| Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered program that helps people deal with life's hurts, habits, and hang-ups. This program, created by John Baker, associate pastor at Saddleback Church features a network of like-minded, Bible-based, Christ-centered recovery ministries. Participants open the door to healing by sharing experiences, strengths and hopes with one another. In addition, those involved become willing to accept God's grace in solving life problems. The result is a changed life! The program consists of large-group worship, teaching, open-share groups that are gender-specific, and step-study groups using Celebrate Recovery guides. When does it take place? 6:30-7 p.m. Fellowship Time 7:00-8:00 p.m. Large Group for Worship, Testimonies and Lessons, 8:00-9:00 p.m. Small Share Groups Where are gatherings? Celebrate Recovery is for anyone who has a hurt, habit, or hang-up, including but not restricted to those struggling with an addiction. Those with feelings that are interfering with your relationship with God or others might choose to try Celebrate Recovery at Tomoka Christian Church. Child care is provided. Where else is Celebrate Recovery offered? The program is offered at more that 3,000 churches and prisons, helping an estimated 150,000 people all over the world. Who is Tomoka's Celebrate Recovery director? Bob Peacock, Ministry Leader Life Hurts God Heals, a recovery program for students who have experienced pain or addiction. This eight-step program based on the beatitudes from the Bible is targeted specifically to students age 13 -19 who are struggling with addictions, cutting, pornography, eating disorders, family dysfunction or suicide. It meets from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday nights in the Point starting August 23, 2010. For full details check here.
